A study released this weekend by the UK’s Daily Mail suggests that beer-bellies are actually rooted in genetics and not drinking. Unfortunately, the study also highlighted that people who drink regularly are more likely to put on weight, with men who consume two or more pints of beer daily leading the pack. (Not really sure we needed a team of scientist to figure this one out). Yet, based on a sample of 20,000 people monitored for eight and a half years, the study found no proof that drinking related weight accumulates around the stomach.
